Books.
The way I see it things break down like this, there are two types of books in this world, good books and bad books, I like good books. I like to read realistic stories with characters who feel real, like I commented on Mrs. Morrison's blog my favorite book is The Catcher in the Rye. I like to read philosophical texts, I've read the Bible both old and new testaments, excerpts from the Koran, and several Buddhist texts. I enjoy the work of the classic Greek philosophers like Plato, and Aristotle. And more modern philosophers like Emerson and especially Einstein he's a personal favorite. Though above all else my favorite reading is always comic books, though I'm sure most people wouldn't count them as books, I love the ridiculous storylines and dynamic characters. I love Marvel comics, because they tend to develop their characters personalities as well as their powers or abilities; characters like Spiderman, who when he isn’t fighting crime or supervillans, is a normal nerdy kid from queens who has relationship and financial problems, or Iron Man, who as Tony Stark is a brilliant scientist, and a raging alcoholic. Above all I like stories with characters you can get behind.

Well it's good to see your interested in reading, and learning. Plus, I like the Catcher in the Rye. It's an amazing book, period. I really like though that you read books with characters who are like normal people, I dig it!
ReplyDeleteI've actually heard from everyone that I talked to that has read that book says that it is amazing. I literally have never heard a bad review on it. I'm really not all that into reading, but I may have to make an exception for this book.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I like characters who seem like someone I could know, or I can relate to. And yeah Tom you really should, its definitely a classic.
